FORT SMITH, Ark. – Women's golfer Catherine Haas-Black has been selected as the Lion Pride Award winner for Female Newcomer of the Year.
In 21 rounds this season, Haas-Black had a 77.7 scoring average and tallied three top-10 finishes. She finished 10th at the NSU Invitational with a 149 (+7) as the Lions placed second and then helped the Lions win the Jewel Invitational.
Haas-Black recorded a ninth-place finish at the Holiday Inn Express Invitational and then tied for 10th at the Hardscrabble Invitational with a 233 (+23).
She led the Lions at the NCAA II Central Regional with a 231 (+15) to tie for 11th, where she shot her low round of the year with a 73 (+1).
