ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Golf wrapped up its season Wednesday with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA II Central Regional at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Lions finished with the third-lowest score in the final round with a 308 and finished the event with a 953 (+89). UAFS carded scores of 317-328 in the first two rounds and tied for third in par-3 scoring. The Lions totaled 18 birdies and 142 pars.
Catherine Haas-Black led the way for the Lions with a 231 (+15) to tie for 11th. She carded rounds of 77-81-73 and missed on advancing by an individual by just four strokes. Haas-Black was one of three players to card an eagle in the event and totaled three birdies and a team-high 32 pars. She finished second in par-5 scoring at -2.
Lauren Evans and Aliesa Situmorang each tied for 40th with a 241 (+25) as Evans tallied rounds of 83-77-81 and Situmorang 81-83-77. Each had a team-high four birdies while Situmorang matched Haas-Black with 32 pars.
Kaitlyn Canales tied for 62nd with a 245 (+29) while Paris Dufresne rounded out the lineup with a 248 (+32) to tie for 70th. Canales tied for sixth in par-3 scoring with rounds of 77-89-79 with Dufresne recording rounds of 82-87-79.
