BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Golf moved up three spots in round two to sixth at the NCAA II Central/Midwest Regional at Katke Golf Club on Friday.
The Lions carded a 289 (+1) and have a 36-hole total of 586 (+10). The 289 was the fourth lowest round of the day as the Lions tallied 18 birdies. UAFS currently ranks second in par-3 scoring as a team.
Chandler Cooke surged into a tie for second after recording eight birdies for a second round 67 (-5). He has a two-round total of 139 (-5) and tops the tournament with 12 birdies.
Sam Sewell carded a second round 73 (+1) and is tied for 23rd with a 147 (+3). Alex Bloxham leads the tournament in par-3 scoring at even par and is tied for 47th with a 150 (+6) after a second round 75 (+3).
Murphy Allard is tied for 81st with a 155 (+11) while Braylon Mahanay is tied for 86th with a 156 (+12).
UAFS tees off in the final round at 10:50 a.m. three strokes back from the cut line.
