BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Golf wrapped up the 2025-26 season with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA II Central/Midwest Regional Saturday at Katke Golf Club.
The Lions recorded three eagles in the final round for a 299 (+11) to finish with an 885 (+21). UAFS tied for the top scoring average on par-3s and totaled 43 birdies and 145 pars over the three rounds.
Chandler Cooke led the way for the Lions finishing in a tie for 10th with a 217 (+1). He tallied four birdies in a final round 78. He had rounds of 72-67 and was in the final transfer spot until the final six holes. He tied for the most birdies in the tournament with 16.
Sam Sewell shot an even par 72 in the final round and tied for 21st with a 219 (+3) after rounds of 74-73. He totaled seven birdies and was fifth overall with a team-high 35 pars.
Alex Bloxham tied for 43rd with a 224 (+8) after rounds of 75-75-74. He recorded eight birdies and finished tied for second in par-3 scoring at +1.
Braylon Mahanay was in the top 10 for pars with 33 as he tied for 80th with a 231 (+15) with rounds of 76-80-75. Murphy Allard tied for 91st with a 236 (+20) after rounds of 81-74-81.
