KANSAS CITY – Men's Basketball guard Christian Moore has been named the MIAA Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Moore helped the Lions to a 2-0 week with league wins over Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri on the road, averaging 20.0 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 60.7 percent and 44.4 percent from three-point range. Moore tied his season-high 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting with three triples and seven assists in the 98-87 win at MoWest.

The Lions' 98 points against the Griffons was most against an NCAA Division II opponent this season. Moore then added 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the 73-68 win over the Bearcats in Maryville.

Moore joins Brandon Scott as Lions being honored with the MIAA Athlete of the Week award this season.
