Lions enter final weekend ranked fourth in Central Region

FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball will look to cap off a strong regular season as the Lions host Central Oklahoma and Rogers State at the Stubblefield Center this weekend.

The Bronchos and Lions will tangle at 5:30 p.m. Thursday followed by the Lions and Hillcats at 3 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the MIAA Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafortsmithlions.com.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Lions will honor their six seniors.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: UAFS picked up a pair of road wins in defeating Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri.

IN THE REGION: The Lions are ranked fourth in the first regional rankings of the year. The top eight teams will advance to the NCAA II Central Regional.

TOP 25: UAFS is receiving votes in this week's NABC Division II Top 25.

AOTW: Guard Christian Moore was named the MIAA Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after averaging 20.0 points and 4.0 assists while shooting over 60 percent from the floor in last week's wins.

FROM DISTANCE: The Lions are second in the MIAA with 9.4 made threes per game. Guard Brandon Scott ranks sixth with 2.1 makes per contest.

SCOUTING UCO: The Bronchos are 15-14, 8-9 MIAA after dropping their last three games. Forward Matthew Willenborg leads the MIAA in both scoring at 20.5 points and rebounding at 9.6 per game.

SCOUTING RSU: The Hillcats are 17-9, 11-6 MIAA and second in the league in assist/turnover ratio at 1.37. Two players average over 13.0 points per game, led by guard Tim Jordan Jr. at 13.2 per contest.

THE SERIES: UAFS is 2-3 all-time against Central Oklahoma and 7-8 versus Rogers State.
