KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its second Men's Golfer of the Week in the 2025 season. All 11 MIAA golf teams were in Tulsa, Okla., earlier this week to compete in the
NSU Men's Classic. Sam Sewell of Arkansas-Fort Smith won the individual title to be crowned the latest MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week.

Sam Sewell continued his strong start to the season for the Lions as he was crowned the individual champion of the NSU Men's Classic this past Tuesday (Sept. 16) at the Paige Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa, Okla. The senior from Lantana, Texas, carded a 202 (-11), tying a program record relative to par set by his teammate,
Jeremy Tandoy, last season. He also tied the 36-hole record relative to par at nine under. Sewell tallied rounds of 67 (-4), 66 (-5), and 69 (-2), and finished with a team-high 15 birdies. He shot seven-under on par-5s and was one of six players to shoot under par on par-3s. His 202 (-11) 54-hole total was just one stroke ahead of the classic's runner-up.
