FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Golf finished eighth Tuesday as the Lions wrapped up 54 holes at the Hardscrabble Invitational.
UAFS carded a 948 (+108) with rounds of 331-308-309. The Lions were fourth in par-5 scoring at four over and tallied the sixth most birdies with 20.
Ali Perry led the Lions with a 229 (+19) to tie for 17th, continually improving each round. After a first round 81, Perry fired rounds of 75-73 to conclude the tournament. She led the Lions with 29 pars and tallied three birdies.
Lauren Evans placed 35th with a 238 (+28) carding rounds of 83-77-78. She recorded four birdies and 25 pars. Maddie Sanders and Aliesa Situmorang each tied for 41st with 242s (+32), with Sanders tallying rounds of 84-76-82 and Situmorang shooting 83-80-79. Situmorang led the Lions with six birdies.
Kenly McElyea rounded out the lineup with a 251 (+41) to tie for 69th. Kaitlyn Canales and Livia Blevins competed as individuals, with Canales tying for 45th with a 243 (+33) and Blevins placing 83rd with a 261 (+51). Canales was second on the Lions with five birdies.
UAFS wraps up the regular season March 31-April 1 at the West Texas Desert Invitational at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Arizona.
