FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Golf placed a trio in the top 10 as the Lions finished third at the Hardscrabble Invitational on Tuesday.
UAFS totaled a 54-hole score of 928 (+88), seven strokes ahead of Lubbock Christian. The Lions had rounds of 311-307-310, with the second and third rounds each the third lowest of the round.
The Lions had the second most birdies with 26 and third most pars with 130.
 Lauren Evans, Catherine Haas-Black and Kaitlyn Canales all tied for 10th to lead the Lions with 233s (+23). Evans had rounds of 73-84-76 and totaled six birdies while Haas-Black had a team-high 34 pars with rounds of 80-73-80.
Canales finished with six birdies and 29 pars – both top 10 marks in the tournament – and led the Lions in par-5 scoring at -1. She carded rounds of 78-72-83.
Aliesa Situmorang tied for second in par-3 scoring and tied for 21st overall with a 237 (+27). Situmorang recorded a tournament best nine birdies as she carded rounds of 83-78-76.
Ali Perry tied for 34th with a 242 (+32) with rounds of 80-84-78 and three birdies.
Paris Dufresne and Kenley McElyea competed as individuals, with Dufresne tying for 16th with a 235 (+25). Dufresne led the Lions in par-4 scoring and totaled three birdies, all in the final round. McElyea tied for 60th with a 259 (+49).
UAFS will participate in its final regular season tournament April 3-4 at the Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona.
