FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Cross Country has announced a seven-race schedule for the 2026 season.

For the third straight season, the Lions will open the year with the RSU Distance After Dark event September 3 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two weeks later, UAFS will once again compete in the Missouri Southern Stampede Sept. 19 in Joplin, Missouri.

The Lions will run three times in October to wrap up the regular season, starting October 10 at the Golden Eagle Invitational in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Next is the DBU Old Glory Gallop Oct. 17 in Dallas, Texas, with the Lions wrapping up the month Oct. 31 in Lawrence, Kansas, with the D2 Pre-Nationals meet.

Postseason racing begins November 7 with the MIAA Championships at a site yet to be determined. The final scheduled event of the year will be the NCAA II Central Regional Nov. 21 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
