KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its first women's Golfer of the Week in the 2025 season. All 13 MIAA women's golf teams competed in their first events of the 2025-26 season over the past two weeks with Arkansas-Fort Smith's Aliesa Situmorang claiming the first individual title and MIAA weekly honor of the season.
 
MIAA WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Aliesa Situmorang, Arkansas-Fort Smith
Aliesa Situmorang won the individual crown at the NSU Women's Classic with a two-round total of 143 (+1), leading the Lions to a runner-up finish in the 17-team event. Situmorang posted 16 pars in her final round as she carded an even 71. The sophomore from Frisco, Texas, totaled six birdies in her first round of 72 (+1) and finished the event with seven birdies overall – second most in the tournament. She also averaged one under par on par-5 scoring.
