NORMAN, Okla. – Men's golfer Jeremy Tandoy has been named as an NCAA Division II PING All-Central Region honoree, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Tandoy won the MIAA Championship this season and led the Lions with a 71.58 stroke average over 33 rounds. He missed advancing to the NCAA Championships by one stroke after placing sixth with a 212 (-1) at the NCAA Central Regional last week.
He also won the NSU Invitational in the fall and earned five top fives and seven top 10s this season, recording 19 rounds of par or better and six of the lowest rounds of the season by the Lions. He shot a low round of 65 (-5) at the Spring Bulldog Classic.
Tandoy tied for fifth to lead the Lions to a win at the MSSU Fall Invitational in the fall. UAFS had three top three finishes this year.
Twice this season he shot 11-under par, tying the program record for score relative to par. At the Spring Bulldog Clash, he broke the records for low score for 36 and 54 holes.
