GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Jeremy Tandoy tied his 54-hole record of score relative to par with an 11-under 205 to lead University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Golf at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic.
Tandoy finished fourth overall as he carded his lowest round in round three with a 67 (-5). He had at least five birdies in each round, including seven in round three. He carded a 68 in round one with an eagle and then tallied a 70 in round two. He led the tournament in par-5 scoring at 12-under.
Christopher Taylor tied for 30th as he finished with a 214 (-2), posting scores of 70 (-2) in each of the second and third rounds after a first round 74. Taylor was one-under on par-3s for the event and tied with Judd Hays for a team-high 36 pars. He also had 11 birdies.
Chandler Cooke and Preston Green each tied for 37th with 216s (E). Cooke had 14 birdies and an eagle with rounds of 71-73-72 while Green had 15 birdies with rounds of 73-70-73.
Alex Bloxham shot a 217 (+1) to tied for 47th, carding rounds of 73-71-71 with 10 birdies, while Hays tallied a 219 (+3) with rounds of 76-72-71 with an eagle in round two.
Case Englehart rounded out the UAFS contingent with a 233 (+17).
The Lions shot under par in all three rounds (286-283-282) to place seventh with an 851 (-13). UAFS was 31-under on par-5s and tallied the third most birdies with 64.
The MIAA Championships are next on the docket for the Lions April 21-23 at Jefferson City Country Club in Jefferson City, Missouri.
