HAYS, Kan. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Golf placed seventh as the Lions battled windy conditions at the FHSU Tiger Classic at Smoky Hill Country Club.
The Lions carded rounds of 294-292-294 as they finished with an 880 (+40). The 292 second round was the third lowest of the round. UAFS totaled 36 birdies and was fifth in par-5 scoring.
Jeremy Tandoy paced the Lions lineup with a 219 (+9), shooting a one-under 69 in the final round. He shot a pair of 75s in the first two rounds and recorded 10 total birdies.
Chandler Cooke tallied the third most birdies in the field with 12 as he tied for 26th with a 220 (+10). Cooke had rounds of 73-71-76 and had five of his birdies in the opening round.
Preston Green tied for 34th with a 222 (+12) and recorded the lone eagle for the Lions in round one. He carded rounds of 74-71-77 and started round two with four birdies in seven holes.
Alex Bloxham led the tournament field with 41 pars as he tied for 41st with a 224 (+14). He recorded rounds of 72-75-77.
Judd Hays completed the lineup and tied for 67th with a 228 (+18) tallying rounds of 77-79-72.
