MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Jeremy Tandoy tied for individual medalist honors Tuesday at the NSU Invitational at Muskogee Golf Club, earning the honors after 54 regular holes plus five playoff holes.
Tandoy finished with a 204 (-9), recording rounds of 69-68-67. He finished with 12 birdies and eagled the par-5 fifth hole twice. Tandoy becomes the second consecutive individual medalist winner for UAFS at the NSU Invitational, as Chandler Cooke won the event last year.
Playing as an individual, Alex Bloxham tied for 39th with a 218 (+5). His best round was in round two, as he carded a 70 (-1) with four birdies. He totaled eight birdies overall as he also had rounds of 74 in rounds one and three.
Chandler Cooke tied for 49th with a 220 (+7) after rounds of 77-70-73 while Christopher Taylor tied for 52nd with a 221 (+8) and rounds of 74-72-75. Cooke tallied eight birdies while Taylor recorded nine.
Rounding out the lineup for the Lions was Judd Hays in a tie for 59th with a 223 (+10) and Preston Green in a tie for 64th with a 224 (+11). Hays carded rounds of 75-72-76 and Green 78-69-77.
JD Frederiksen also competed as an individual, placing in a tie for 68th with a 225 (+12). He had rounds of 76-77-72.
UAFS finished in a tie for eighth as a team, recording an 865 (+13). The Lions had rounds of 295-279-291, with the second round 279 (-5) tying for the second lowest round total in program history.
Next up for the Lions is the MSSU Fall Invitational September 23-24 at Shangri La Golf Resort in Monkey Island, Oklahoma.
