CANYON, Texas – Middle blocker Hannah Holland and outside hitter Caelyn Gunn were each named to the All-Lone Star Conference Second Team, it was announced Wednesday evening at the LSC Volleyball banquet prior to this weekend's LSC Tournament.
Additionally, Gunn was named the All-Freshman Team.
This season, Holland led the Lions in hitting percentage at .317 while ranking third with 207 kills. Holland also leads the Lions with 77 total blocks this season. Holland posted a season-high 16 kills in the final at Texas Woman's and had five matches with double-digit kills.
Holland also led the team with 39 aces and recorded seven aces in a win against UT Permian Basin. She broke the program aces record in a win against Western New Mexico and currently has 114 career aces.
Gunn recorded 248 kills while averaging a team-high 3.22 kills per set. She had nine double-doubles while tallying 228 digs, as well. Gunn had a season-high of 24 kills against St. Mary's and 19 digs against UTPB. She had 14 matches with double figure kills and 11 with double figure digs.
The Lions are scheduled to face second seed Dallas Baptist Thursday in the opening round of the LSC Tournament at 2:30 p.m.
