EL PASO, Texas – University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Golf mastered the par-4 15th hole Tuesday at the RJGA South Central Shootout, recording two birdies, an eagle and a hole-in-one on the 343-yard hole.
Jeremy Tandoy birdied his first hole of the day before carding an eagle on the 15th hole en route to recording four more birdies as he shot a two-under 70 in the final round. Tandoy paired that with a first-round 79 to finish 16th with a 151 (+7). Tandoy finished with a team-high seven birdies.
Jaden Chavez stepped up to the 15th tee box for his first hole of the day and needed only his drive as he carded a hole-in-one. Chavez recorded two birdies on the back nine, as well as he shot a 76 (+4) in round two. Chavez shot an 80 in round one as he finished tied for 36th with a 156 (+12).
Others to birdie the 15th were Andrew Fakult and Lucky Boonsrirat. Fakult had five birdies overall in round two as he shot a three-over 75 along with an 82 in round one to finish tied for 45th with a 157 (+13). Boonsrirat carded rounds of 84 and 79 to finish in 64th with a 163 (+19).
Case Englehart completed the lineup for the Lions by finishing tied for 67th with a 166 (+22) with rounds of 85 and 81.
UAFS placed 12th as a team with a 625 (+49) after rounds of 325 and 300 in its final event of the fall.
