The UAFS men's basketball team is back out on the road one last time for two more conference games. The Lions are set to face Midwestern State and Cameron for the second time of the season. They will play Midwestern State on Thursday at 7:30pm at the D.L Ligon Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas and Cameron University on Saturday at 4pm at the Aggie Gym in Lawton, Oklahoma. Both games will start after the women's basketball games finish.
The last time these teams matched up, UAFS came out on top with a win against Midwestern State, winning 66-62, boosting the all-time series record to 4-2 and added on to a winning streak of 4 games. On the other hand, the Lions ended up losing a close one against Cameron the last time they played each other, losing 68-70 in the final seconds of the game. The Lions will be looking for a different outcome this time around, hoping to end their final road trip of the regular season by adding two more wins to their record.
The Lions are currently 11-13 overall and 7-11 in conference play. As they near the end of their regular season, the Lions are pushing to boost their conference standings. Currently, UAFS is tied for 12
th in the Lone Star Conference with Eastern New Mexico. They are right at the cutoff to qualify for the conference tournament, which takes place at the end of the season. Only the top 12 teams will make the tournament.
