FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball will embark on its final weekend road trip this weekend as the Lions visit Central Oklahoma for a three-game MIAA series.
Game one of the series is set for 4 p.m. Friday followed by game two at 2 p.m. Saturday. The series concludes at noon on Sunday. All three games will be streamed on the MIAA Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.
NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions were swept at Washburn before returning home to defeat Northeastern State, 21-9, on Tuesday.
15: UAFS scored a program record 15 runs in the fifth inning in the win over Northeastern State.
AT THE PLATE: Outfielder JJ Young ranks fifth in the MIAA with a .702 slugging percentage and is tied for ninth with 10 home runs.
ON THE BASES: Utility Connor Earleywine ranks tied for sixth in the MIAA with 17 stolen bases.
GETTING ON BASE: Infielder Caleb Eisenhower has reached base 17-of-33 times (.515) when leading off an inning.
SCOUTING UCO: The Bronchos are 20-20, 11-15 MIAA with a 17-11 record at home. Utility Drake Lee leads the Bronchos with a.422 average with seven homers and 35 RBIs while Kamden Thompson leads the effort on the mound with a 5-3 record and 19 strikeouts in 54.0 innings.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 4-6 all-time against Central Oklahoma.
