KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Tennis had a pair earn All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association postseason honors, as voted on by the league's head coaches and announced by the association Tuesday.
Both Eduardo Bribiesca and Juan Rosello earned Second Team All-MIAA honors in singles, while Bribiesca was also selected as the Sportsmanship Award winner.
Bribiesca played a the top flight for the Lions, posting a 12-4 record and 4-4 mark against MIAA/GAC competition. He had three three-match win streaks this season.
Rosello played at No. 2 singles for most of the year, going 10-6 overall, including 8-6 at No. 2 and 2-0 at No. 3. He went 4-4 against MIAA/GAC opposition and tallied an 8-9 record in doubles.
UAFS finished the regular season 6-12 and will face top-seeded Washburn in the opening round of the MIAA/GAC Tournament Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.
