FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball continues its road swing as the Lions are set to visit Missouri Western for a three-game MIAA series.
The series begins Friday at 6 p.m. followed by game two Saturday at 2 p.m., with the series finale Sunday at 1 p.m. UAFS will then visit Northeastern State next Tuesday at 5 p.m. to conclude that series.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: UAFS was swept at Central Oklahoma before earning a 3-2 win over Rogers State on Tuesday.
PERFECT PAIRING: The Lions and starter Chase Pair won their fourth consecutive midweek game Tuesday, as Pair has tossed at least seven innings in all four wins.
REACHING SAFELY: Outfielder Cooper White has reached base safely in 17 consecutive games. He has been hit by pitch 15 times, fourth most in the league.
SCOUTING MWSU: The Griffons are 9-24, 7-15 MIAA and have scored the fewest runs in the league. Outfielder Frank Gall paces the Griffon offense with a .325 average with five homers and 25 RBIs while starter Colby Deaver has a 5.72 ERA in 39.1 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts.
SCOUTING NSU: The RiverHawks are 11-25, 8-14 MIAA, led at the plate by outfielder Colton Ayres, batting .333 with four home runs and 23 RBIs.
THE SERIES: The Lions lead the all-time series with the Griffons, 3-1, sweeping a series in 2017 before the Griffons won in 2019. The Lions are 11-10 against the RiberHawks after winning the first two games of the series this season.
