FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball will look to bounce back this weekend as the Lions go on the road for the first time in MIAA play to visit Missouri Southern.
First pitch of the all-Lion matchup is set for Friday at 3 p.m. with game two of the series set for 1 p.m. Saturday. The series will conclude Sunday at 1 p.m. All three games will be streamed on the MIAA Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.

LAST WEEK: The Lions were swept in a home series by No. 4 Central Missouri.
LEADING OFF: Outfielder Cooper White is hitting .692 leading off an inning and .643 with the bases empty.
LAY ONE DOWN: Catcher Ryan Riggs and outfielder Randon Ray each rank in the top five in the MIAA in sacrifice bunts with three each.
STRIKE 'EM OUT: Right-hander Brayden Ross ranks fifth in the MIAA with 38 strikeouts while lefty Grant Shankle is ninth with 27.
SCOUTING MSSU: The Lions are 12-8, 5-5 MIAA with a 7-2 record at home. Outfielder Brayden Luikart leads the MIAA with a .480 average to go with three homers and 28 RBIs while starter Cole Gayman wis 2-2 with a 3.90 ERA in 30 innings with 36 strikeouts.
THE SERIES: The series is 1-1 as the teams split a doubleheader in the 2015 season.
