FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball continues MIAA play at Crowder Field this weekend as the Lions are set to host Newman University for a three-game series.
The series begins Friday at 2 p.m. followed by 1 p.m. start times for the Saturday and Sunday games. All three games will be streamed on the MIAA Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafortsmithlions.com.

LAST WEEK: UAFS was swept in its MIAA opening series against Fort Hays State last weekend.
HOME SWEET HOME: This weekend marks the third of four consecutive home weekends for the Lions.
STREAKING: Outfielder Cooper White is on a current nine-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in 12 straight games.
AT THE PLATE: Infielder Noah Davis leads the Lions with a .380 batting average and ranks in the top 10 of the MIAA with three homers and 14 RBIs. He is batting .409 with runners in scoring position.
ON THE MOUND: Lefty Grant Shankle is 10th in the MIAA with a 2.73 ERA as hitters are just 4-for-28 against him with two outs.
SCOUTING NU: The Jets were also swept on their opening weekend of MIAA play, and hold a record of 3-8, 0-3 MIAA. The Jets rank third in the league in batting average at .304 but have a team ERA of 8.29. Infielder Trent Trammell leads the Jets with a .556 average with two homers and six RBIs. On the mound, Gio De Graauw is 2-1 with a 3.21 ERA in 14.0 innings.
THE SERIES: UAFS leads the all-time series with the Jets, 25-19.
