FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball will open MIAA play this weekend at Crowder Field as the Lions are set to host Fort Hays State.
The start of the series has shifted back due to weather, with the series now beginning Sunday with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. with the finale Monday at 1 p.m.
All three games will be streamed on the MIAA Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafortsmithlions.com.

LAST WEEK: UAFS split a doubleheader at home against William Jewell before the final game of the series was canceled due to weather.
TAKE YOUR BASE: The Lions have been hit by pitches 18 times this season, second most in the MIAA.
LUCKY NO. 7: Both Brayden Ross and Grant Shankle tossed seven innings in the doubleheader against William Jewell.
DRIVE THEM IN: UAFS is converting at a 74.1 percent clip when driving in a run with a runner on third and less than two outs while holding opponents to just 57.9 percent.
SCOUTING FHSU: The Tigers sport an identical record as the Lions at 5-4 as they embark on their second road trip of the season. Infielder Elliott Herrmann leads the Tigers at the plate with a .345 average to go with four homers and 11 RBIs, while starter Ty Riley has allowed just one run in 15 innings on the mound with 22 strikeouts.
THE SERIES: UAFS trails, 4-1, in the series with the Tigers. This will be the first matchup between the teams since 2011.
