FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball will head to UT Tyler for its final regular season series, with the teams playing a modified weekend schedule.
The series was originally scheduled to be played at Crowder Field, but was moved to UT Tyler's Irwin field due to inclement weather in the forecast for Fort Smith. First pitch of the series is scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. as part of a doubleheader. Single games are to follow Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday at noon.
UAFS will still be designated as the home team for the series.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions dropped three out of four games at UT Permian Basin last week, winning the finale, 16-12.
LSC TOURNAMENT: UAFS can clinch a berth in the LSC Tournament with two wins over the Patriots. UAFS is currently the seventh seed entering the weekend.
7: UAFS is 16-4 when scoring at least seven runs this season.
ON THE MOUND: Starter Brayden Ross is tied for sixth in the LSC with six wins this season.
AT THE PLATE: Infielder Noah Davis has hit four home runs in his last five games and is tied with outfielder Brandon Ulmer with seven. Davis is one of five Lions batting over .300 and has driven in a team-high 43 runs.
SCOUTING UTT: The Patriots were off last weekend and are 26-19, 26-18 LSC after a nonconference loss to Southern Arkansas Tuesday. Catcher Ethan Bedgood powers the Patriots lineup with a .420 average to go with four home runs and a team-high 52 RBIs. Hector Rawley is the top arm for UTT, leading the league with a 3.28 ERA and 6-3 record in 60.1 innings with 51 strikeouts.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 3-11 all-time in the series against UT Tyler.
