FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball continues Lone Star Conference play this week looking to bounce back with a trip to Austin to play St. Edward's University.
Game one of the series is slated to get underway at 2 p.m. Friday with a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday with a 1 p.m. first pitch.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions will look to get back on track after being swept at home last week by Texas A&M-Kingsville.
IN THE POLLS: UAFS dropped to 10th in this week's NCBWA South Central Region poll with seven points.
AT THE PLATE: Outfielder Brandon Ulmer is batting a team-high .385 while both catcher Nico Patrick and infielder Noah Davis have each driven in 25 runs.
GETTING AHEAD: UAFS is 9-4 when scoring first but just 3-8 when the opponent scores first.
ON THE MOUND: Luke Davenport has led the Lions on the bump out of the bullpen, posting a 5-2 record with a 3.41 ERA in 31.2 innings. He is second on the team with 22 punchouts.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Lions have posted an 8-4 record on the road this season and have scored 123 of their 184 runs away from home.
SCOUTING SEU: The Hilltoppers lost their last three games last weekend and are 11-15, 11-13 LSC. Catcher Diego Solis leads the Hilltoppers with a .333 batting average while outfielder Davis Drewek has a team-high four homers and 23 RBIs. On the mound, pitcher Jakub Rayfield is 3-0 with a 2.75 ERA with 28 strikeouts and two shutouts.
THE SERIES: UAFS trails St. Edward's in the all-time series, 36-17. The Hilltoppers have won the last six games in the series.
