FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith closes out the home portion of its schedule this weekend when it hosts UT Permian Basin at Crowder Field Friday through Sunday.
The series is slated to begin Friday at 3Â p.m., with Numa Nation holding the Teal Tailgate from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Stubblefield Center patio. The teams are slated to play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and will wrap up the series Sunday with Senior Day at 1 p.m.
All four games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafslions.com.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions split a four-game series at Cameron, winning games two and four of the series.
A GRAND TIME: Outfielder Michael Brinton hit a grand slam in the first inning of game two of the series and followed it up with a two-run homer later that game.
TEAL: UAFS is 2-0 in its last two Teal Tailgate games, defeating UTPB and UT Tyler.
SENIOR DAY: UAFS will honor five seniors prior to Sunday's game at 12:45. They are pitchers Brayden Johnson, Trevor Johnson & Dylan Rollins, infielder Will Trollinger and catcher Kade Brewer.
AT THE PLATE: Infielder Matt Schilling leads the Lions with a .294 batting average and is third in the LSC with 17 doubles while Brinton has posted a team-high eight homers and 34 RBIs.
ON THE MOUND: Brayden Johnson has won back-to-back games on the mound as he leads the Lions with a 3.05 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 65.0 innings. He ranks third in the LSC in ERA and fourth in strikeouts.
SCOUTING UTPB: The Falcons dropped the final three games of their series last weekend at home to UT Tyler and sport a 17-25, 15-25 LSC record. Infielder Mason Hamlin leads UTPB with a .363 batting average while outfielder Cooper Ciesielski has six homers and 33 runs driven in. Starters Trevor Barth and Creede Jeffers both enter the weekend with 4-4 records on the mound with ERA's over 5.90.
THE SERIES: UAFS leads the all-time series with the Falcons, 23-11, with the teams having split the last 10 meetings.
