FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Baseball looks to get back on track this weekend when it travels to Texas A&M International for a four-game series.
The series kicks off with a single game Friday at 2 p.m. followed by a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: UAFS was swept at home by No. 5 Angelo State, including two games by just a single run.
AT THE PLATE: Second baseman Mac Moody leads the Lions with a .385 batting average, while outfielder Hunter Church is batting .333 with a homer and six RBIs.
ON THE MOUND: Starter Logan Grant is 1-1 with a team-high 10 strikeouts, while Braiden Partin has earned a save in two appearances in relief.
SCORING FIRST: UAFS is just 1-4 when the opposing teams score first, so the Lions will look to be the first team on the scoreboard this weekend at TAMIU.
SCOUTING TAMIU: The Dustdevils are 4-5, 4-4 LSC and are coming off a 24-10 nonconference loss against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Catcher Ronnie Bailey leads TAMIU with a .381 average and six RBIs, while outfielder Matt Kissamis is hitting .346 with a homer and eight RBIs. Starter Jan Cabrera is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
THE SERIES: UAFS leads the all-time series, 30-11, having won the last eight matchups and 20 of the last 22. Last season's series was canceled due to weather.
