FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball looks to gain momentum as it heads on the road following its first Lone Star Conference win last week. This week will see the Lady Lions visit Texas A&M – Kingsville and Texas A&M International.
The Lions tip off Thursday against the Javelinas at 5:30 p.m. and face the Dustdevils at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both games can be seen on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.

LAST TIME OUT: UAFS earned its first conference win of the season, defeating Western New Mexico, 64-55.
4TH QUARTER FIREWORKS: The Lions erupted for 30 points in the fourth quarter in the win over the Mustangs, shooting7-for-8 from the floor and 16-of-23 from the free throw line.
CRASH THE GLASS: UAFS is fourth in the LSC in offensive rebounds per game with 14.4.
DYNAMIC DUO: Guards Ashanti Eden and Paige Elston combined for 16 of the 30 fourth quarter points in the win and scored 20 and 17 points, respectively. Elston leads the Lions with 12.7 points per game with Eden second at 9.9 points per game.
TAKE IT AWAY: UAFS forced a season-high 28 turnovers against Western New Mexico and had a season-high 19 steals. This led to a 24-15 advantage in points off turnovers and 24-9 edge in fast break points.
RECORD WATCH: Forward Mar'Shalia Lollie ranks 8th with 392 career rebounds. Lollie is tied for fourth with 190 offensive rebounds.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 1-2 all-time against Texas A&M-Kingsville, with the Javelinas winning both matchups last season. The Lions are 17-4 against Texas A&M International.
SCOUTING TAMUK: The Javelinas are 11-4, 4-0 LSC including an upset win over then No. 1 Lubbock Christian. Six players average more than seven points per game with none averaging more than 10, scoring just 60.1 points per game. TAMUK has the second ranked scoring defense in the LSC at 54.4 points per game.
SCOUTING TAMIU: The Dustdevils are 10-4, 1-2 LSC after having lost their previous three games. They have the number three offense in the LSC at 72.0 points per game, led by forward Rai Brown at 18.1 points per game, also second in the LSC.
