FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball is set to host Oklahoma Christian for its home opener Tuesday, with the first serve set for 6 p.m.
The Lady Lions and Eagles will also meet at the Stubblefield Center Wednesday at 6 p.m. to complete the two-game series.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lady Lions split their season-opening series at Midwestern State last week. After dropping the season opener, 3-2, UAFS responded with a five-set win on Wednesday.
GETTING DEFENSIVE: UAFS held the Mustangs to a .088 attack percentage over both matches, which ranks tops in the LSC. UAFS held the Mustangs to a negative hitting percentage in three of the 10 sets.
AT THE NET: The Lady Lions recorded 26 blocks last week, including eight solo blocks and 36 assisted blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Hannah Holland had 15 blocks – five solo – as the Lady Lions lead the league with 2.60 blocks per set.
CAN YOU DIG IT?: Five players tallied double-digit digs in the five set win, as the Lady Lions totaled 79 digs on the night. Sophomore libero Lexy Lewis led team with 21 digs.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Two Lady Lions recorded double-doubles in the win, with freshman outside hitter Reagan Macha recording 17 kills and 10 digs, while sophomore right-side hitter Courtney Crownover finished with 22 assists and 19 digs.
HOLLAND HOUR: Sophomore middle blocker Hannah Holland is tied for first in the LSC with 1.5 blocks per set after tallying 15 blocks in 10 sets last week. She is also third in attack percentage, recording 16 kills at a .367 clip.
HOME OPENER: UAFS is a perfect 11-0 in home openers at the Stubblefield Center since becoming a NCAA II member.
SCOUTING OC: The Eagles are 2-3, 1-3 LSC after splitting its series against Cameron last week. Freshman middle Morgan Demuth leads OC with a .320 attack percentage and is second on the team with 44 kills. Demuth also leads the team with 26 blocks. On the back end, defensive specialist Alexandra Torres leads the Eagles with 3.27 digs per set.
THE SERIES: This will be the first ever meeting between the Lady Lions and Eagles on the volleyball court. Oklahoma Christian is returning to the court for the first time since 1983 this season.
