FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball resumes conference play Saturday as it visits its travel partner, Oklahoma Christian for a 2 p.m. first serve.

NOTES:
LAST WEEK: UAFS swept its LSC opponents last weekend, sweeping St. Mary's before toppling St. Edward's in four sets. It then dropped a pair of matches at Tuesday's UAPB Tri-Match, falling in five sets to UA Monticello and four sets to host UA-Pine Bluff.
ALDERSON HONORED: Setter Chloe Alderson was named the LSC Setter of the Week after averaging 12.0 assists per set in the wins over SEU and STMU. She had double-doubles in both matches with 47 assists and 12 digs against SEU and 37 assists and 10 digs versus STMU. UAFS hit .301 for the week and .369 against STMU.
DYNAMIC DUO: The duo of middle blockers Hannah Holland and Chyra Thompson have been a force at the net lately, with Thompson hitting .388 and Holland .359 in the last five conference wins for UAFS. Thompson has totaled 45 kills and Holland 44 in the wins.
ACES WILD: UAFS leads the LSC in aces with 1.83 per set. Middle blocker Hannah Holland leads the league with 0.48 aces per set.
PLAYOFF PUSH: UAFS is currently 9th in the LSC standings, a half-game behind 8th-place Texas A&M-Kingsville. UAFS plays the bottom four teams in the conference prior to hosting the Javelinas in the last match of the regular season as it looks to host a first round conference tournament match.
RECORD WATCH: Libero Lexy Lewis is currently 6th on the career digs list with 869 career digs. Middle blocker Hannah Holland recently moved into 10th for total blocks with 139, just two behind Lexie Johnston in 9th. She ranks 8th with 34 solo blocks. Holland also ranks 7th with 67 career aces.
THE SERIES: UAFS won all four matches against Oklahoma Christian in the spring of 2021 after the Eagles revived their volleyball program.
SCOUTING OC: The Eagles are just 3-14 since starting the year 4-2, and enter Saturday's contest at 7-16, 3-9 LSC. OC is in its second year after bringing the program back and is led by middle blocker Morgan Demuth, who has a team-high 171 kills and .301 attack percentage. Defensively, defensive specialist Brylie Berryman tops the lineup with 4.75 digs per set.
