UAS Women's Golf team has added another local player - Krislyn Andrews from Muldrow, Okla.
Head coach
Daniel Hayden added, "It's always exciting to get local talent. Krislyn's was a multi-sport athlete in high school, her Senior year she decided to solely focus on golf, and it has shown the last few months. She plays a ton of tournaments and will bring that experience to the program. We are excited to have Krislyn on the team."
Muldrow High School graduate (2020) is joining UAFS after four years of academic and athletic excellence. Andrews has claimed 7th place individual at State Tournament while also recording two wins during Junior season. She was selected to OSSAA All-State Team and was a three-times State Qualifier.
For the longest time Krislyn did not even this about playing college. She said, "Ever since I started playing golf I never knew that I would be where I am today. Playing collegiate golf never came to my mind until my junior year of high school."
Although she had other oportunities, Andrews always had a special place in her heart for UAFS, "While looking at different schools and colleges, UAFS always had something tugging at my heart. After lots of prayer and thought, coach Hayden had contacted me that next fall and I knew right then that this was the school I was meant to go to."
Being close to home is also very important for the Muldrow, Okla. native for many reasons, "I am so happy and grateful that I get to attend UAFS and be so close to home with my family. If it wasn't for the support and love of my family I would not be the same person or in the position that I am today. I am very excited for what the future holds," concluded Andrews.
Andrews graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA and is intending to major in Biology.
