After coming back from being on the road and splitting a series against the Tarleton Texans, the UAFS baseball team are back at home this weekend for another four-game series against the UT – Permian Basin Falcons. The series will begin a doubleheader on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., then there will be a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. All of the games will be played at Crowder Field. Currently, the Lions are 6-4 in conference play and the Lions will be looking to better that record by coming out of the weekend with another series win.

Historically, the Lions are behind 1-2 in the all-time series, but they did win their most recent matchup against the Falcons 6-5 and will be looking to tie the series record after this weekend.

The Lions are currently batting .227 as a team with 74 hits, including 13 doubles and 5 home runs on the year. The Lions are led by Morgan Crenshaw, who has a .321 batting average and Dylan Hurt who has a .289 batting average. Dylan Hurt leads the team with 11 hits and Cash Balentine leads the team in homeruns (2).

The UAFS pitching staff has compiled a total ERA of 5.59 with 72 strikeouts and 113 hits over 87 innings. Jason Porter leads the pitching staff with an ERA of 2.92 and Trevor Johnson has struck out the most batters with 13 strikeouts. Jason Porter and Foster Pace currently lead the team with the most wins (2).
