After coming back from being on the road and splitting a series against the Tarleton Texans, the UAFS baseball team are back at home this weekend for another four-game series against the UT – Permian Basin Falcons. The series will begin a doubleheader on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., then there will be a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. All of the games will be played at Crowder Field. Currently, the Lions are 6-4 in conference play and the Lions will be looking to better that record by coming out of the weekend with another series win.
Historically, the Lions are behind 1-2 in the all-time series, but they did win their most recent matchup against the Falcons 6-5 and will be looking to tie the series record after this weekend.
The Lions are currently batting .227 as a team with 74 hits, including 13 doubles and 5 home runs on the year. The Lions are led by
Morgan Crenshaw, who has a .321 batting average and
Dylan Hurt who has a .289 batting average.
