UAFS is looking to win its second series of the year as they are back on the road this weekend to play Tarleton State Texans in Stephenville, Texas. The Lions will be playing in their first four game series of the season, with the first game starting on Friday at 2pm, a doubleheader on Saturday at 1pm and 3pm, and the fourth and final game concluding on Sunday at 1pm.
The Lions are currently 4-2 in conference play after sweeping their first series against Texas A&M International and losing 1-2 in their second series against UT-Tyler.
Historically, the Lions are behind 3-5 in the all-time series between the two teams, but they did win their most recent matchup against the Texans 14-3 and will be looking to extend that winning streak during this weekend.
This past weekend, the Lions played some very tough games and went 1-2 against fellow conference newcomer, UT-Tyler. The Lions are currently batting .218 as a team with 45 hits, including 8 doubles and 2 home runs on the year. The Lions are led by

The Texans are currently 3-3 in conference after losing their first series against UT-Tyler and then coming back the next weekend to sweep their second series against UT-Permian Basin. The Lions are hoping to come back from this Texas road trip with another series win and improve their conference play record.
