WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Basketball was held to a season-low 52 points as the Lions suffered an 80-52 defeat at Central Missouri Saturday.
The Lions held an 8-4 lead early, but the Mules used a 7-0 run to take an 11-8 advantage. The Lions briefly regained the lead at 12-11, but UCM then answered with a 9-0 run.
After UCM extended the lead to 10, the Lions cut it to five before going into the locker room down eight. UAFS scored the first four points of the second half before the Mules went on a 27-2 run to break the game open.
UAFS finished at just 33.9 percent shooting and 17.4 percent from three while UCM shot 44.3 percent and 38.7 percent from three.
Guard Jarren McAllister led the Lions with 15 points and seven boards while guard Brandon Scott had 13 points and eight boards.
UAFS is back in action February 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Missouri Western.
