FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball will look to snap its three-game losing streak as the Lions welcome Newman and Emporia State to the Stubblefield Center this week.
The Lions and Jets will square off at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and then take on the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Friday after the game was moved up a day due to weather.
Both games will be streamed on the MIAA Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5 with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.

LAST WEEK: UAFS had a halftime lead but suffered a 71-63 setback at home against Northeastern State.
TOP 25: UAFS remained in the NABC Division II Top 25 at No. 16 this week.

SCOUTING NU: The Jets are 5-12, 1-7 MIAA after losing their last eight games. The Jets are 0-4 away from home. Newman allows 81.5 points per game and allows opponents to shoot a league-high 48.9 percent from the field. Forward Thatcher McClure leads the Jets with 11.1 points per game.
SCOUTING ESU: The Hornets are 6-11, 2-6 MIAA and 0-6 on the road. Emporia makes the third most threes in the league at 9.1 per game and is led by forward Chris Harris at 13.0 points per game.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 14-9 all-time against Newman and 0-1 versus Emporia State. This will be the first ever meeting in Fort Smith between the Lions and Hornets.
