JOPLIN, Mo. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Baseball was unable to slow Missouri Southern Sunday, as the Lions dropped the series finale, 15-5 in seven innings.
Missouri Southern scored seven runs over the first two innings before the Lions got on the board in the third on an RBI single by designated hitter JJ Young.
However, MSSU doubled their lead before the Lions pushed across four runs in the sixth, getting RBIs from infielders Noah Davis and Jordon Helm. Helm finished 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lions.
UAFS remains on the road Tuesday at Northeastern State at 5 p.m.
