FORT SMITH, Ark. – Infielder Noah Davis hit a pair of home runs as University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball dropped the series finale, 13-8, Sunday to Cameron at Crowder Field.
Davis finished 3-for-4 at the plate with five runs driven in while scoring twice.
Cameron hit six home runs on the day as the Aggies jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the second inning. UAFS chipped away, scoring single tallies in in each of the second through fourth frames.
Both teams matched three-run fifth innings, with Davis hitting the first of his two two-run homers. Outfielder Blayse Quarnstrom added an RBI single in the inning.
The Aggies then added four more runs in the top of the sixth before Davis belted his second homer in the bottom half of the inning.
Infielder Dakota Peters and Quarnstrom each had two hits for the Lions, with Peters scoring twice and Quarnstrom driving in a pair.
Garret Wilson and Jakob Petross combined to throw 3.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to end the game.
Next week sees the Lions travel to UT Permian Basin for a four-game series against the Falcons.
