OKLAHOMA CITY - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball scored 29 runs as the Lions swept a doubleheader at Oklahoma Christian Friday.
The Lions won game one, 14-1, before taking game two, 15-0. The Lions and Eagles conclude the series Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lions scored in each of the first five innings and pounded out 14 hits in the game one win. Designated hitter Dan Taylor led the way with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with a homer and four RBIs.
UAFS had four straight hits to open the game, with infielder Noah Davis and Taylor each collecting RBI singles. Davis then opened the scoring of a five-run second inning, which also included a two-run single by catcher Nico Patrick and a solo homer by outfielder Michael Brinton.
The Lions had another five-run inning in the third when the Lions loaded the bases and tallied a pair of two-run singles by outfielder Blayse Quarnstrom and Taylor. UAFS then tallied single runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.
Quarnstrom finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs while Davis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Patrick tallied a pair of hits with three RBIs while outfielder Brandon Ulmer went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs.
Brayden Ross earned the win on the mound, pitching five scoreless innings. He scattered five hits and struck out two while walking none. Tanner Callahan and Junior Torres each pitched an inning in relief.

Riley Lowry and Logan Grant combined for a four-hit shutout as the Lions cruised to a game two win. Lowry allowed just three hits over five innings and struck out four. Grant then tossed two scoreless frames in relief with a pair of strikeouts.
The offense carried over from game one, as Davis laced a two-run homer in the top of the first. Patrick then homered in the third for a 3-0 lead, followed by RBIs by infielder Matt Schilling and catcher Ryan Riggs for a 5-0 advantage.
Brinton added to the lead with a two-run single in the fourth, and then the Lions tacked on three more via errors in the fifth. UAFS wrapped up the scoring with two in the sixth and three in the seventh.
The Lions scored at least two runs in every inning except the second. 11 different Lions scored a run while nine tallied at least one hit. Ulmer and Riggs each had three hits in the game.
