FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball looks to extend its three-game win streak this week as the Lions return to MIAA play at Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern.

The Lions and Gorillas will match up at 7:30 p.m. Thursday followed by an all-Lion matchup at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the MIAA Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.

NOTES:

FIRST HALF: UAFS capped the opening part of its schedule with a 6-5 overall record, ending nonconference play on a three-game win streak.

OFFENSE: The Lions top the MIAA by averaging 83.0 points per game.

RECORD WATCH: Guard Terrell Williams Jr. has scored 855 career points as he chases 1,000.

MR. EFFICIENCY: Williams Jr. ranks fourth in the MIAA shooting 57.9 percent from the floor.

SCOUTING PSU: The Gorillas also sport a 6-5 record and are 2-0 in MIAA play. Pitt State leads the league with 10.2 made threes per game and is first in assists at 17.5 per game. Guard Avery Taggart paces the Gorillas with 14.4 points per game while shooting 40.4 percent from beyond the arc.

SCOUTING MSSU: The Lions are 6-6, 1-2 MIAA and sport a 5-1 record at home. MSSU is second in the MIAA in blocks with 4.1 per game while being led by four players averaging double figures offensively. Guard Martin Macenis leads the Lions with 13.7 points per game.
