FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball broke the single game record for made threes with 21 as the Lions defeated Ecclesia College, 112-52, Friday evening at Southside High School.

The Lions converted 21-of-41 attempts from distance and finished shooting 45-for-72 from the floor for a 62.5 percent clip. The previous record was 18, which had been done three times.

UAFS scored the first 12 points of the game as all 13 players to step on the floor recorded a basket. Guard Garrett Scott scored his first collegiate points as he paced the Lions with 20 points, six boards and four assists. The Lions had 30 assists on their 45 made baskets.

Guard Tyler Frederick added 18 points and seven rebounds while guard Roland McCoy scored 11. Guard Evan White dished out a team-high six assists in the win.

UAFS outrebounded the Royals, 48-24, and held Ecclesia to 30.8 percent shooting.

Up next for the Lions is an 11 a.m. contest on Monday against Dallas Christian at the Stubblefield Center for Education Day.
