Lions wrap up nonconference schedule with three home games

FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball will wrap up its nonconference slate over the next two weeks, as the Lions are scheduled to host Ecclesia, Dallas Christian and Drury before the holiday break.

The Lions will take on Ecclesia Friday at 6 p.m. at Fort Smith Southside High School before taking on Dallas Christian on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Stubblefield Center for its inaugural Education Day game, where nearly 700 students from local elementary schools will be in attendance. UAFS will then close out the first half of the season December 21 at the Stubblefield Center at 1 p.m. against Drury.

Friday's game will not have a live stream, but all three games will be broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5 with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com. The games against Dallas Christian and Drury can be seen on the MIAA Network.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: The Lions opened MIAA play at the Stubblefield Center but suffered a pair of close losses to Northeastern State and Newman.

SEEING DOUBLE: Guard Elijah Wilson has scored in double figures in five straight games while guard Terrell Williams Jr. secured a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds against Northeastern State.

BACK IN ACTION: Guard Roland McCoy made his season debut against Newman, leading the Lions with 16 points.

RECORD WATCH: Williams Jr. has scored 837 career points as he sets his sight on 1,000.

SCOUTING EC: The Royals are 0-14 on the year as NCCAA members. Guard Justin Reaves leads the Royals with 16.5 points per game.

SCOUTING DCC: The Crusaders are 1-9 this season, having defeated Ecclesia while also falling to a common opponent in University of the Ozarks. Guard Ny'gel Boozer paces the Crusader offense with 14.3 points per game.

SCOUTING DU: The Panthers are 5-3 after dropping their last two games. Guard Zach Howell leads three averaging double figures with 17.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

THE SERIES: UAFS is 8-0 against Ecclesia and 1-0 against Dallas Christian with this being the first-ever matchup against Drury.
