Men's Basketball returns home to face Southern Nazarene

FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball returns to the Stubblefield Center this week as the Lions take on Southern Nazarene Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Then before the Thanksgiving break, UAFS will visit Quincy November 27 at 5 p.m.

Friday's game will be streamed on the MIAA Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5 while Wednesday's game can be seen on the GLVC Sports Network. Live stats for both games can be found at uafortsmithlions.com.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: UAFS defeated Ozarks in the Toy Toss game, 86-48, before falling in a rematch at Harding on Sunday.

AT THE RIM: UAFS leads the MIAA in opponent field goal percentage (39.6) through the first two weeks of the season.

ON THE GLASS: The Lions are third in the MIAA with 40.8 rebounds per game and rank second with 12.5 offensive rebounds per game. UAFS has an 8.5 rebounds per game margin.

LEADING THE WAY: Guard Terrell Williams Jr. is pacing the Lions' offense with 15.5 points per game while ranking ninth in the league with a 61.1 field goal percentage.

SCOUTING SNU: The Crimson Storm have played just one game on the year, defeating Northeastern State, 71-66, last weekend. Guard Jeremy Golson scored 25 points while guard Baron Bracey tallied 17 points and seven rebounds in the win.

SCOUTING QU: The Hawks are 2-2 on the year but 2-0 on their home floor. Quincy is shooting just 26.6 percent from beyond the arc and are led offensively by guard Ethyn Brown at 13.5 points per game.  

THE SERIES: UAFS will be looking for its first ever win against both opponents, as the Lions are 0-3 against Southern Nazarene and 0-1 versus Quincy. This will be the first meeting with the Hawks since 2010.
