Pair of LSC East Division opponents on tap for Men's Basketball

FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Basketball will welcome Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International to the Stubblefield Center this week as the Lions continue Lone Star Conference play.

The Lions will face the Javelinas at 7:30 p.m. Thursday before wrapping up the weekend taking on the Dustdevils Saturday at 3 p.m.

Both games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafortsmithlions.com.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: UAFS opened the second half of conference play with a pair of setbacks at Dallas Baptist and UT Tyler.

1000: Guard Payton Brown became the seventh player in the D2 era to eclipse 1,000 career points last week against UT Tyler.

RECORD WATCH: Guard Cameron Bush is now tied for 10th in assists with 162.

SCOUTING TAMUK: The Javelinas are just 1-6 away from home and 3-9, 1-6 LSC on the season. Guard CJ Smith paces the Javelinas offense with 15.9 points per game.

SCOUTING TAMIU: The Dustdevils are last in the LSC in scoring offense at 68.2 points per game but are second in scoring defense at 66.4 points per game. They enter the weekend at 7-6, 3-4 LSC. Guard Mathew Okoye is the lone player averaging double figures at 13.1 points per game.

THE SERIES: UAFS is 1-5 against Texas A&M-Kingsville and 16-10 versus Texas A&M International.
