SAN ANGELO, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Basketball fell to 0-3 in Lone Star Conference play after a 75-59 loss at Angelo State Thursday.
The Lions fell behind early, but opened the second half with a 5-0 run to pull back within 43-33. However, the Rams answered with a 6-0 run and the Lions were unable to get back in the game.
Guard Payton Brown led the Lions with 11 points while guard Cameron Bush added 10 points. Brown has now scored in double figures in six straight games. Guard Lian Ramiro tallied nine points with guard Roland McCoy contributing eight points off the bench. Forward Jace Linenberger pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
UAFS shot a season-low 31.6 percent in the loss.
