FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Basketball looks to finish the home portion of its schedule on a high note when it hosts Angelo State and UT Permian Basin this weekend.
The Lions will face the Rams Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and the Falcons Saturday at 4 p.m. The team's three seniors will be honored following the game Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: UAFS split its road games at St. Edward's and St. Mary's. The Lions defeated SEU, 74-69, before dropping a 73-67 decision at St. Mary's.

STARTING FIVE: UAFS had five players score in double figures in the win at St. Edward's.

PACK LINE DEFENSE: UAFS is second in the league and 15th nationally in allowing just 64.2 points per game. Opponents are shooting 42.2 percent against the Lions, fourth best in the LSC.
RECORD WATCH: Senior guard Matthew Wilson sits 5th with 1,164 points at UAFS. Wilson also is 5th in field goals made (414) and fourth in three-pointers made (190). Forward Chris Rollins is 7th in rebounds with 431. Guard Evan Anderson is 5th in assists with 229.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 1-2 against Angelo State after having won the last meeting in 2020 after dropping the first two contests. The Lions are 12-7 all-time against UTBP.
SCOUTING ASU: The Rams are 16-8, 6-6 LSC and second in the league in scoring at 78.6 points per game. The fast pace means the Rams also allow the third most points in the league at 74.9. Guard Tyrell Carroll leads four players averaging double figures with 13.5 points per game.
SCOUTING UTPB: UTPB is 14-10, 6-6 LSC and had their three-game winning streak snapped last weekend. Guard Jordan Horn paces the Falcons offense with 17.0 points per game, while this matchup will feature two of the league's leaders in assists in Anderson and gaurd DaJuan Jones, who is tied with Anderson in assist/turnover ratio and leads the league with 7.0 assists per game.
