UAFS men's basketball splits the weekend conference roadtrip with a loss as the Lions fell to 7 St. Edward's in the roadtrip final by the score of 75-93. The Lions were led by
Brian Halums with 36 points on 5-8 shooting from the three point line and and outstanding 15-16 from the free throw line. Hlums also added nine rebounds but it was not enough to change the final score of the game.
Lions are now 6-7 overall on the season and 2-5 in the conference play.
Offensively, the Lions shot 38.5 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from the three point line and 75.8 percent from the free throw line. UAFS was led in scoring by Halums while
Evan Anderson added 11. The Lions recorded 14 assists and were led by
Charles Botchway with three.
Defensively, the Lions allowed their opponents 61.1 percent shooting from the field with 38.5 percent from beyond the arc and 73.9 percent from the charity stripe. The Lions grabbed 29 rebounds and were led by Halums (9) and
Chris Rollins (6). UAFS also forced 9 turnovers and recorded three steals.
UAFS men's basketball will be back in action next week as the Lions host Dallas Baptist on Thursday and Tarleton State on Saturday. Tickets for these games are on sale now and available at the
