UAFS men's basketball team has bounced back in San Antonio, Texas as the Lions defeated St. Mary's by the score of 64-62. The Lions were led by Halums who scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Wilson added 11 points to power the Lions' offense over the Rattlers. The Lions are now 6-6 on the season and 2-4 in conference play.
Offensively, the Lions shot 45.3 percent form the field, 37.5 percent from the three point line and 62.5 percent from the charity stripe.Halums led the Lions in scoring (23 pts.) while Wilson added 11. The Lions recorded 13 assists, led by
Charles Botchway (6 assists).
Defensively, the Lions held their opponents to 35.4 percent shooting from the field, 23.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 72.7 percent from the free throw line. UAFS grabbed 35 rebounds as a team and were led by Halums (9 reb.) and
Chris Rollins (6 reb.). The Lions also forced nine turnovers, while also recording four steals led by Wilson (2 stl.).
