UAFS men's basketball team has dropped second to last non-conference game of the season as the Lions lost to Harding in a regional matchup by the score of 68-58. Lions are now 5-2 on the season and will be looking to bounce back in their final non-conference matchup against Hendrix.
Offensively, the Lions shot 39.3 percent from the field, 26.1 from beyond the arc and 72.7 percent from the free throw line as a team. They were led in scoring by
Brian Halums (20), and
Seth Hawley (9). UAFS distributed the ball well with 15 assists and were led by
Charles Botchway (5).
Defensively, the Lions allowed their opponents a 41.1 field goals percentage with outstanding 42.3 percent (11-26) from the three point line and 78.6 percent from the free throw line. UAFS team was led in rebounding by Halums (9) and
Chris Rollins (7) while
Matthew Wilson led the team in steals (2).
UAFS men's basketball is now preparing for the second regional matchup of the week as the Lions take on Hendrix at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Gayle Kaundart Arena in Stubblefield Center. Tickets for this match are on sale now and available at the
