One look at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Basketball record book and its easy to spot a name that stands out among the rest.

A pure scorer, guard Seth Youngblood tops the record book with 1,912 career points over his four-year career with the Lions. He made a record 619 field goals and 339 threes, 112 more than second place. The 1,912 points and 339 made threes rank second all-time in Heartland Conference history.

Youngblood played in 123 games from 2013-17, leading UAFS to an 83-40 record with a regular season and conference tournament championship, as well as three NCAA Tournament appearances.

He led the Lions in scoring in each of his four seasons, averaging 15.5 points per game for his career. He had three career 30-point games and holds the single game record with 48 points scored against Central Missouri in the 2014-15 season. He made a record nine threes in that game and shot 14-for-21 from the floor overall and 11-for-13 from the free throw line.

"Seth's impact on UAFS Basketball is so much more than long range threes, spectacular dunks, points scored, individual honors, championships won and NCAA Tournament trips," former UAFS head coach Josh Newman said.

"He embodied the culture of our program with his hometown zest and his continuous community impact setting the UAFS Men's Basketball standard.  Of all Seth's many accomplishments, including his induction into the Hall of Fame and his completion of his degree; I am most proud of the man, husband and father Seth has become."

Youngblood was named the Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year in 2014-15 while also earning Second Team All-Conference honors. He used that as a springboard to two first team All-Heartland selections as well as a second team nod. In 2016-17, he was named NABC First Team All-Region and NABC First Team All-America. He also garnered Second Team D2CCA All-Region honors and participated in the NABC/Reese's Division II All-Star Game.

Youngblood joined the Lions after a stellar prep career in which he was a three-time Times Record Oklahoma All-Area Player of the Year and averaged 24.9 points per game as a senior at Roland High School. That year, Youngblood led the Rangers to a state runner-up finish with a 28-2 record and scored 41 points with nine threes in the state championship game.

Following his playing career, Youngblood continues to give back to the game by coaching girls basketball at Roland High School.
